The GEN II uses a 316-marine grade stainless steel spring to provide pressure to the seal surface. Together, the spring and seal ring rotate along with the shaft, and remain secured in the Clamp/Pressure housing. Dual U-cup seals, which also rotate with the shaft, are seated in the inside of the seal ring. Because there’s virtually no metal-to-metal contact, you eliminate the risk of electrolysis.
